Video Poker is a favored game that is able to be gambled on in casinos all over the globe, or in your house on your personal computer, using an Internet connection. The regulations are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to get the highest mixture of cards possible in order to win money. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the play button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘handed out’ on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and players will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the bettor wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards he would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards are needed they will be handed out. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that experienced players are agile enough to pick the most beneficial ones each and every instance.

Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the player a chance to increase their wins, in which instance another hand is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
