Electronic Poker is a popular game that usually will be played in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at home on your PC, through an Internet account. The game rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with other players. Of course, tactics used in a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the bettor has chosen which cards she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.

Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that skillful gamblers are able to select the most money-making game every instance.

After the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game give the gambler an opportunity to increase their profits, in which instance a further game is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
