Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be wagered on in casinos all over the globe, or in your house on your home computer, through a net connection. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it is very similar as a classic game of poker, apart from the involvement with other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the enthusiast puts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of five cards will be "given out" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and players should now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the bettor has decided on which cards she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards are given out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that skillful players are agile enough to choose the most profitable machine each and every instance.

As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Further, several versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which situation another round is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
