The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.
Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced enthusiasts are agile enough to select the most profitable game each time.
Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which situation a further round is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
